How vocal are you about your God? Our Lord? Your Savior? My Savior? DO you tell your cashier or waiter, "God bless you" as you leave? Do you stand on the street corner, screaming at people that they need Jesus?!? Or do you just smile and go on? I think we can all agree that we need to do better in this area! Mark 16:15 commands us to, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone."
So why don't we? Why do we not tell every person that we encounter that, "Jesus loves you!" Why are we not trying harder to save people from an eternity in hell? When did burning alive become appealing? We live in a free country! With Freedom of Speech! So what is holding us back? What is holding you back? What are we all so afraid of? There are so many Christians currently in prisons in other countries for their faith. So many being tortured, thinking and hoping those will denounce their amazing God!
WE DON'T HAVE THAT FEAR HERE!!!! We will not be shot down in the middle of the street! We will not be hauled away in cuffs! We will however be mocked! We will be criticized! We will be laughed at! Maybe spit on? WHO CARES!!! The mockers, the scoffers! They have their own fate! Wipe the spit off. You will be just fine!
We have been taught to care about what other people think of us, and we thrive on acceptance! It's become intoxicating! With TicTok and followers! Guess what! SPOILER ALERT! Those followers will NOT get you into Heaven!!! The only acceptance and approval we need, is Jesus Christ!
God wants us to value HIS opinion! He wants us to seek HIS acceptance! We cannot physically do that if we are constantly seeking it from people here on earth. Our fears have been misplaced at some point. We have learned to fear opposite of the things that we should! Fearing the rejection of a stranger that we may never see again?? Repeat that to yourself! Say it out loud. "I fear the rejection of a stranger that I will never see again." If it doesn't sound ridiculous yet, keep repeating it. The only rejection that we should fear, is the rejection of Jesus! If He rejects us, that is an actual life sentence in hell.
Luke 6:22&23 says, "What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. 23. When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven..."
Rejoice at their rejection! Rejoice at their disgust! Don't rejoice for their destiny! But rejoice in the fact, that you did what the Lord asked you to! He will have a special reward for you in heaven! Jesus is applauding your efforts!
Revelations 2:10 says, "Don't be afraid of what you are about suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remail faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life."
1 Peter 4:12&13 says, "Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13. Instead, be very glad- for these trials make you partners with Christ in His suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world."
God is preparing our crowns! Our rewards! Would it be so terrible if you ended up in heaven sooner than you planned? Would you rather stay true to Our Father in Heaven and go to heaven early? Or break under the pressure to live on earth longer, but spend eternity in hell? Why are we afraid of dying? Be ready! The devil has done an award winning job of desensitizing us to the reality of what hell really is. But my god is bigger and better! And there will never be a place in this universe for that mangily little snake to ever receive an award.
For those of you that have fears of drowning. Or being buried alive. Or suffocation! And for those of you that fear being burned alive.... You need to fear where you are going after you take that last gasp of air.
CHECK YOUR FEARS. ARE THEY LEGIT? ARE THEY IN LINE WITH THE WORD?
