84. Are you ready?

God is amazing! He keeps pressing on my heart, that this year is going to be awe inspiring! The most unexpected people in our lives are going to come into relationship with Jesus! There are going to be miracles that happen that will leave no other explanation other than God! There will be absolutely no doubt for anyone that God is ALIVE! God is not dead! That God reigns! The same as all these things that are going to absolutely amaze us, we will also be amazed at the heart break. The heart break of loved ones being completely sucked in by the lies of the enemy. Our loved one's denial of God. There will people whose hearts that will be turned to stone. For some of these people they will be people that we looked up to. They will be people that we perceived as godly. It will be shocking.

Through this, God is continuously putting the words "discipline" and "Obedience" on my heart.

1 John 3:4-6 says, "Everyone who sins is breaking God's law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. 5. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in Him. 6. Anyone who continues to live in Him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know Him or understand who He is."

We live in a world that only wants to hear the fluffy fun stuff. We have been conditioned to live for ourselves, and what we like. The things that make us feel good. We have learned to be 100% selfish! As long as we are happy! That is all that should matter within our own lives. I was one that fell victim to that lie for quite some time! I thought I was happy! Or at least content! I look back now, and I can see how absolutely miserable I actually was! Constantly looking for things to fill voids that are not fillable! When God rocked my world in 2020, (No it was not COVID related.) I lost over one hundred pounds. But in my season of morbid obesity, I loved food! I was happy when I was eating delicious foods! I would constantly eat. All day. One double cheeseburger? How about 2! I would drink soda all day. There was zero accountability in my diet! The more I ate- this bigger I got, and the bigger I became, the more unhealthy I became. My sugar would run so high, that it became a struggle to stay awake. I had no discipline. I sure wasn't being obedient to God! I was truly useless. For any purpose.

As I started losing weight, the less I slept. The more I was able to be a part of life! I became healthier, and so did my family.

So what areas in your life do you need discipline in? Your diet? Your attitude? Drugs? Alcohol? Anger?

1 Corinthians 10:12&13 says, "If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure."

God is there for us and rooting for us! Are you relying on Him to help you through that craving? Or to stop that binge? I have been there! I could not have done it without relying on God!
