Today I am writing directly from the heart! We are about to come into 2024!!! As you can all see, the world around us is not getting any better. As prophesied in the Bible, it is not going to get any better, in will in fact get a whole lot worse. I want to challenge each and every one of us this weekend, to do some serious reflecting. Turn off your t.v.! Turn on some Christian music! PRAY! Pray about you mindset. Pray about habits you need to give up! Pray about people you need to forgive! Pray about whether or not you are walking with the Lord! Or if you are walking to the beat of your own drum. Think about the movies and the t.v. shows you watch, are they speaking truth into you? What about the music you listen to? Is it drawing you closer to God??
The reality is, the worse things get in this world, the more convincing the enemies lies are going to become. Is your walk with the Lord strong enough to discern those lies?
How many of you still need freedom in different areas of your life? I implore you to find a prayer room, or an alter and go lay it down. Get down on your knees and cry out to God what you need! Speak out "In the name of Jesus I need freedom from..." Folks it doesn't have to be pretty! And for most of you it won't be... but for many of you it is one hundred percent necessary! And the freedom you will experience!! Is beautiful!
One of my favorite sayings this year has been, "When you turn around, there should be a dead-end sign there." Keep moving forward! There is no reason to go backwards. There is nothing left there for you.
Psalms 113:5-7 says, "Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? 6. He stoops to look down on Heaven and Earth. 7. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump."
Are you in the mindset that God is Mighty, True, and Just!!??? That He is the ruler over all the world? Do you follow in the footsteps that He has laid out for you? Do you keep your mind focused on His Truth? And away the lies told on t.v. and in music? How will you spend your next year? Walking in freedom? I pray you do..
