64. Be humble.

This entry may be a little sensitive for some. If you feel offended or mad about anything that I have ever written, that is ok! That is the Holy Spirit convicting you. Pray about it! Seek your heart! Ask God to show you what about it is so painful for you! Let God start His work! Let Him start the healing process!

Has anyone ever told you that you need to humble yourself? Did you truly know what that meant? Or did you brush it off as an insult? Humility or to be humble by definition is to have a modest or low view of one's importance.

Now that is not to say that anyone one of us is unimportant! However, at the end of the day, if you or I were to drop dead right this moment, the world will keep moving! It would not affect this nation! It would not affect people on the other side of the world! It would affect you friends and family for a moment. But the harsh reality is, they too, will move on.

But when we live in Christ!!! When we follow the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!! When we leave our earthly bodies, it will affect the whole universe! It will affect how God was using you! And how He will keep your ministry alive! Who He could call on, that would say "YES!"

Now people bow to the Queen and King of England. They humble themselves before them. They don't think they are better than them! People are enchanted by them.

Fun fact! Our God is their King! Our God is better than them! Our God is bigger and better than any one of us! Why do so many people find it hard to bow down to God, yet so easy to bow to the Queen of England?!?

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "Then if me people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."

God wants to bless us! He is a giving God! But He also wants us to know He has all the power! We are to respect Him and be humble! We are nothing without Him!

1 Peter 5:6 says, "So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift up your honor."

Billy Graham, Joel Osteen, and Joyce Meyers did not become famous by chance! Yes, they are human and make mistakes! But they dedicated their lives to serving a faithful God! they dedicated their lives to saying "YES!" to God! The more they listened to Hima and the more they said "YES" to God's calling upon their lives, the more God lifted up their honor!

In what areas do you need to humble yourself to God?? What do you think you can do better than anyone else? Do your you think people should bow to you? Do you think that people should hang on to your every word? God wants to walk hand in hand with you- side by side. That is not possible if you are trying to run ahead or sit on the side lines! Seek God! And humble yourself before His throne!
