Have you ever sat down and thought about how absolutely glorious our God is?? I was recently in a prayer meeting; God has a way of showing up in a big way during our prayer meetings! The more the Spirit moves, the rowdier we get! But I start laughing! And I said, "How awesome is it, that we serve a boujie God!" Now stay with me! Yes! We know our God is awesome, wonderful and powerful!
Revelations 22:18-21 says, "The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass. 19. The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones; the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20. the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21. the twelve gates were made of pearls- each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass."
Now this is speaking of the New Jerusalem! When God make Jerusalem home! But if I said I was going to make a home with 12 gates- I would be labeled "BOUJIE" instantly! But He goes on! Each gate crafted from one pearl! With 12 guards! And 12 stones! And gold! And gold! And gold!
It's because our God wants the best for us!!
Here is my favorite:
Revelations 19: 11-14 says, "Then I saw Heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. It's rider was named Faithful and True, for He judges fairly and wages a righteous war. 12. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on His head were many crowns. A name was written on Him that no one understood except Himself. 13. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and HIs title was the Word of God. 14. The armies of Heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed Him on white horses."
It doesn't say when Jesus returns- He just shows up and says, "Hey this is it! The world is done. My people... it's time to go home!" No! He is coming with a pure white army! He's charging in! Ready! For a full-blown battle! With a full glorious army to fight the battle! BUT! He doesn't even need or use the mighty army! The battle is already won! Our boujie God is going to put on this grand theatrical production! At the end of the day- this mighty army will be showing up to have front row seats to an epic battle!
Revelations 20:1-3 says, "Then I saw an angel coming down from Heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. 2. He seized the dragon- that old serpent, who is the devil, satan- and bound him in chains for a thousand years. 3. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shit and locked so satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while."
So here is this majestic army, waiting and ready for action!! Hanging out, waiting for their Captain to come back. Listening to satan yell and curse at the angel, as the angel is dragging him through hell!! As the angel finds the perfect prison cell for statan to spend the next thousand years in!
Could you imagine two countries going to war- one having the biggest, badest army! For them to show up, hangout, eat some popcorn! ANd watchas one person defeats the entire other countries army!!!
If our God can master such creativity for the coming days, what are you limiting Him too? Our boujie God wants to lavish you with His boujie love and His boujie gifts! Are yuu allowing Him to??
