We have spoken before, about what our purpose is here on earth! How God created each one of us for a specific purpose. Knowing full well that each one of us has free will. God knew millions of years ago- which of us, His beloved children, would turn their backs on Him. His heart still breaks just the same when it does actually happen.
As children we have dreams and visions- we are taught to use our imaginations to visit far off worlds! Have tea parties with our best teddy bears! And slowly but surely, as we grow older, we are taught that our imaginations are for child's play. That we are to start using our minds for real knowledge. I believe God uses childlike imagination to speak to us!
Side note: When God speaks to us, we are not to consider ourselves or others as "losing it"! Those are not random voices in your head! Now- when the Lord speaks to you- 1. Always pray about it! Ensure that it was God speaking! 2. Wait for confirmation! God always confirms what He speaks to us! Whether through a stranger- a sermon- could even be a silly bumper sticker! Sometimes He confirms immediately- sometimes He will take His sweet time! God has His own timing! We are to be ready to receive His words!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12. In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13. If you look for me whole heartedly, you will find me."
Could you imagine how different this world would be if Mary had not listened? If Mary said, "No absolutely not!" Or what if Jesus hid and ran away? He knew His fate! He asked God for another way! What if Jesus said "NO" to God? And did not go to the cross?
What are you ignoring? What are you saying "NO" to? God is always looking for your "YES"! He wants all of His children to be saved! He wants all of HIs children to inherit the wonders of Heaven! Your "YES" is what allows Him to move in your life! Your "YES" and stepping out of your comfort zone, are what bring the Kingdom of Heaven a little closer!
Are you willing to listen? Are you willing to respond with a "yes"? Lives change with a "YES"!! The amazing wonders you will witness and have the privilege to be a part of- will knock your socks off!
