55. What do you do with your struggles?

Please read in order! Thank you!

1 Peter 5:10, "In His kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Jesus Christ. So, after you have suffered for a little while, He will restore, support and strengthen you, and He will place you a firm foundation."

Our lives are short here on earth. This is our prelude to eternity! Our struggles and suffering have already been set up. What will we do for a living? How will we pay our bills? and feed our children? How will we manage our time? How will we balance our work, family and personal time!? There are all these things that we have to do and juggle! Then on top of that there are emotions!!

We have to control our emotions!! There is always something wrong, or a fire burning somewhere! A phrase that is growing in popularity that makes me cringe is, "Childhood trauma". When it is said, it is done in almost a musical tone, and it is always said after someone says something totally off the wall and with hostility.

Now- I fully believe that each and every one of use carries some sort of trauma- or baggage, whether it was intentionally done to us or not! It has become 100% normal for each one of us to have complaints and heartache!

But why? Why does it matter who we are or where we come from? Whether we are fat, skinny or somewhere in between? Whether we grew up in the hood or in Bel Aire? Why do we all have heartbreak?

It's unintentional! This world is broken- and the people that are of this world are broken! When you turn your eyes, and your mind, and your heart to Jesus!!! You will start to focus on the joy of the Lord!! The more you are filled with the joy of the Lord, He will start to take the pain out of those memories! Stories that once made you sob while telling, will be stories you can speak with a smile, to help the next person! To show the next broken person what God did for you! And that God can do for them also!

Revelations 21:4 says, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."

Of course, this is speaking of when we get to Heaven! As long as we are here, people will still hurt our feelings. We will still cry out when loved ones pass away. But our suffering is short, for our lives are short! And just as much as we don't like to see our own children cry- we are God's children! He doesn't enjoy seeing us cry!

God cares about every aspect of each one of us! He wants to carry your trauma! He wants to carry you through your trauma! Once you are on the other side of your trauma, He wants to use you to help carry other people through trauma that is similar to your old trauma.

Once you have asked Jesus into your life, and you have asked for forgiveness! And you have had a real heart to heart with Jesus about everything that you need, and what you need healing from! And you share your pain with Him! You are to stop walking in the guilt you once walked in! You are to stop being ashamed of your past! Once God gives us victory over the situation; then we need to walk in that victory! Hold your head high! Then you can confidently tell the next person- that they will be okay!
Until next time:

Numbers 6:24-26

24. May the Lord bless you and protect you!

25. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you!
26. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.
