50. Where are you going?

So, I have been on a mini struggle bus lately, wondering what God has planned for me next!  Do not get me wrong, I am loving where He has brought me this far!!! He has been faithful and amazing! And I am simply amazed by Him daily! But in my flesh, I want to know! I want to know what is next?? What is He setting up right now for me?? What is He working on?? Then this verse slaps me right in the face!

Philippians 2:12-18 "Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. 14. Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15. so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. 16. Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ's return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless. 17. But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy."

Oh man!! Do everything without complaining!?!?!? AND ARGUING!?!?! Who does that??? Isn't that what we do best???

HA!! Even if you are working on something that you are 100% passionate about, there will still be an aspect of that project that you do not like! And when it comes to those points, it is only natural to complain!

And then you have the people around you, whether it is family or coworkers, that the enemy is just waiting to use against you! Most of the time it is with something they say, often times the words that they say, are meant to be in love! But somewhere along the way, whether it was the tone of their voice, or the way they said, we receive it differently.  It gets twisted. And their loving words end up bringing us down.

For instance, I was told that I was not allowed to touch something. It was silly, and nothing that I should truly care about!! But after a little while, I started to question if I had done something wrong! Wondering if the person was mad at me- we tend to send ourselves down the rabbit holes of self-denial and doubt- and that is exactly what the enemy wants. He wants to see you fidget in your seat. He wants to see your faith waiver- even if it is just a little bit. Because then he will send someone else along to confirm that doubt. And another, and another. Until you put your foot down and say, "NO!! God is working on me! God is giving me the desire and the power to do what pleases Him!"

At some point, (Maybe I am just now realizing this) that the people in our lives, either need to get on board or get out of the way! They can decide! We have to choose too! Are you going to let God work on you? And in you? Or are you going to let the doubt win?

  until next time!

Numbers 6:24-26

24. May the Lord bless you and protect you!

25. May the Lord smile upon you and be gracious to you!

26. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace!
