36. How much can you handle?

Published on 27 March 2023 at 13:03

Is your belief enough? If this is you first time here, please return and start at the beginning! Thank you!

Have you ever heard the phrase, "God won't give you more than you can handle"? I know that most of us have heard it, in some of our deepest, darkest times. When things seem to go wrong at every turn, and at some points we find it hard to breath. Those are the moments, when someone you love, and trust comes in with that one line! Thinking that they are helping and comforting. Which really in make you, in that moment want to smack the messenger, and scream at God to really give Him a piece of your mind!

The truth is- God wants you to give Him a piece of your mind! He wants to hear you acknowledge Him! But He also wants you to trust Him and put your faith in Him! Sometimes these things happen to remind us to trust Him! When we don't, things continue to happen. The more broken and run down we are, the closer we come to crying out for His help! We were not meant to carry our own burdens!

Psalms 55:22 says, "Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall."

When we try to do things on our own, and have the control over the situation, it's not going to change, and it may get worse! Some things God has to hold our hands through! Other things God has to carry us through and take care of for us.

1 Peter 5:5&6 says, "So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor. 7. Give all your worries and cares to God for He cares about you!"

God cares about you! He created millions and billions of people! Millions and billions of creatures! He knows each one of us by name! He knows each one of our lineages! He knows every hair on our heads! And every step we are going to take! He knows the plan He set forth for each individual life! And as Jesus was dying on the cross, each one of your faces flashed through His mind like a memory board, to ensure that when we came to Him for forgiveness- He knew exactly who we were. And when we get to Heaven, He will introduce us to His Father, God Almighty by name!!! He will say, "this is my brother!" or "this is my sister!" How amazing will that be!?!?

We will be home with our family! All of our hurts, all of our pain- physical and emotional- will be gone!

Philippians 4:6&7 says, "Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. 7. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

Do not turn your back on the Lord! No matter how painful a situation, or how much you don't understand why it's happening. Look to GOD!! Don't blame GOD!!

Until next time:

Numbers 6:24-26

24. May the Lord bless you and protect you.

25. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.

26. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.
