31. What do you know about free will?

If this is your first time here, please return and start with the first entry. Thank you!

Free will! Here it is! It was brought up previously. So here is the breakdown of it!! God gave us all free will! What does that mean? He gave us a mind of our own! We get to decide what clothes we like and wear! We get to decide what hairstyle to get! We get to decide how much schooling we will do, and how to shape our future! We get to decide if we are going to be nice or mean. We get to decide if we commit crimes or not. We get to decide whether or not to serve God.

By now it's not about belief- if you are still reading, it's obvious you believe, and you are searching for more. But now is the time to decide what to do with that belief. It's time to use your free will and decide what you are going to do! And how you are going to live your life.

In Joshua 24:14&15 it says- "So fear the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone. 15. But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."

God created us to have minds of our own! In that creative thinking that makes us each unique individuals, He did put some presets in there though! The most important preset we have is the yearning and desire to want more in life. To desire something bigger than ourselves. That need, that desire is one that we as humans are constantly searching to fill. But when we choose worldly possessions, we will always be hungry for more, because it will never be enough. But when we choose Jesus, when we dedicate our lives to serve the Lord!  That hunger, that desire!  It goes away! Because He is enough! He is worthy!

For the bible says in 1 John 2:15-17- Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

God is crying out for you to choose Him!! No matter how many pairs of shoes you have, it will never be enough. No matter how many cars you have, it will never be enough! No matter how big your house is, it will never be enough!! Saying YES to Jesus Christ for He is enough! It is one of those things that you can't believe until you experience it! When you say YES to Jesus, the weight of the world seems to fall off your shoulders. For that is no longer yours to carry. (We will talk about that later) But God gave is free thinking minds, we get to choose! In that choice, is also your choice as to where you spend eternity. (That is a BIG one we will discuss soon!)

Until Next time: 24. May the Lord bless you and protect you.

                                  25. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.

                                26. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.

                                               Numbers 6: 24-26
